This link works, but isn’t a permanent fix. If log out and back into my Yahoo account , then it reverts back to the new version. Any other ideas? Thanks.

That’s because your source url, to open your Yahoo mail, is coded for the new mail. Make a new desktop icon from the classic Yahoo inbox page WHILE you are viewing it [add to favorites, Rt. click favorite, send to, desktop shorcut]. Always access your Yahoo mail from that icon and it’s a permanent fix.
